The car only barely stuck to the road as it swung around the hairpin bends of Mt Buller. Unlike me, sliding across the passenger seat as Uncle Brian pushed the limits of the BMW E46 M3. I was 12 and it was a massive step up from driving my toy electric Ferarri as a 3-year-old, or Go-karts when I was 7.
Since that drive, I’ve motorbiked and bussed across Vietnam, eaten chicken nuggets in Times Square, NYC, navigated protesting crowds in Bangkok, narrowly avoided a volcanic eruptions in both Hawaii and the Philippines, and drove a BMW M2 Competition across the Alps from Munich to Lake Como and back, whilst documenting it with my camera.
But the moment that made me most proud was driving through the centre of Melbourne and seeing my first billboard. I’ve since shot campaigns for many more brands including Aston Martin, Puma, Red Bull, and Honda. I’ve been featured in Campaign Brief, Wheels Magazine and have even photographed an active Submarine.
I’m based in Melbourne (Naarm), Australia and love the adrenaline rush of riding my mountain bike fast down hills.
I live, drive and shoot by the advice “If you don’t pay attention to what’s happening 10 metres in front of you, you might die”, but if you ask me to hang upside down from a helicopter my question isn’t ‘Why?’ it’s ‘When’.
